Step By Step

  1. To a 1000mL beaker add 900mL of distilled water. Turn on stirring.
  2. Add 10 grams of tryptone powder.
  3. Add 5 grams of Yeast Extract powder.
  4. Add 10 grams of Sodium Chloride powder.
  5. Stir until fully dissolved. Adjust pH to 7.00 using 1M KOH if needed.
  6. Autoclave at 121C for at least 20 minutes. If using an InstantPot, set to pressure cook on HIGH temp and HIGH pressure for 30minutes.
