Materials

• Alpha Lipoic Acid Powder
• 99% Ethanol
• Sterile 50mL Centrifuge Tube

Equipment

• Vortexer
• -20C Freezer

Step By Step

1. Weigh 52mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid powder in calibrated balance accurate to the miligram. Drop the powder into a 50mL centrifuge tube.
2. Add 40mL of 99% Ethanol. Vortex to mix. Top off with 99% Ethanol to the 50mL mark of the tube. This makes a 5mM stock solution for use in Agroinfiltration of Petunia Petals
3. Store at -20C and keep cold and dark when in use. Ideally make this freshly but should last for several months if kept cold and dark at all times.

Notes

Perishable, even in freezer, and shelf life has yet to be fully determined in my lab.
